Follow these steps (accompanied by screen shots) to disable Microsoft fax console
from receiving mode.
Step 1 -Click the Start button on the Windows task bar, go to control panel
and double-click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon
Step 2 -Right click on the "Fax" icon and select "Properties" from the popup menu.
Step 3 -Click the "Devices" tab page, select your modem from the devices list and click the
"Properties" button.
Step 4 -From the Properties page, click the "Receive" tab and clear the checkbox at the top labelled
"Enable device to receive". Click Ok and Ok again and close control panel. Fax console has been disable from receiving.
Note: Fax console should not interfere with other application if it is only enabled for sending, however it you are
not going to use Fax console for sending faxes, disable it for that also.
